Baars participates in new Maritime Museum Rotterdam

The Maritime Museum has merged with the Port Museum since early September 2014.
This must be celebrated in this summer of 2015! The Museum presents various activities in the Maritime Museum Port for young and old in and around water. Baars participate in providing a pontoon in the Leuvehaven during those activities. Baars likes to show her social commitment, by offering this pontoon completely free of charge.

The Maritime Museum is located in Rotterdam Leuvehaven, the oldest and largest museum port in the Netherlands. Visitors can enjoy historical ships and cranes and can feel how the international port of Rotterdam began at this spot. Between June and September Baars provides the pontoon, which offers space for activities that make visitors even more aware of the enormous influence of the maritime world in our daily lives.
In August, the pontoon will be visited by several little salmon vessels from the ancient fortress town Woudrichem, during their path towards Sail Amsterdam. In addition, from 5 to 7 September the World Port Days are on the program of the Museum, which is one of the major event weekends of Rotterdam. Numerous activities are held in the museum and on and around the pontoon.

A nice collaboration between the Maritime Museum and Baars, in the Maritime world that touches them both!
