The ferry between Lekkerkerk and Nieuw-Lekkerland had a hard time mooring at high tide. Baars was able to solve the problem by supplying a container pontoon that enables the gangway between the boat and the land to rise and fall with the tide. The modular pontoon was specially designed to allow the gangwayto move in a way that does not touch the pontoon. Cyclists, pedestrians and motorbike riders travelling between Lekkerkerk and Nieuw-Lekkerland can now cross the water safely again.
