For the modular dredging pontoon Titaan, we converted two of our 18-tonne winches into ‘self-tensioning’ winches. They were used to keep a moored pontoon holding 3,500 Levvel blocks tensioned alongside the Titaan. This pretensioning reduces the chance of wire breakage considerably, increasing safety on board.
