We placed a small wheelhouse and a TPU unit on the platform of one of our 160 m3 split barges. The TPU-unit consists of a drive unit with a propeller, a diesel-driven hydraulic power unit and a hydraulic generator. The split hopper barge and drive unit can be operated from the wheelhouse, which makes the split barge self-propelled. The propulsion system has a power of 100 HP and an azimuth thruster with a diameter of 1,000 mm.
