The Polish government has been working on the Oder River near the city of Wroclaw for many years. On the one hand, work was focused on protecting the city against flooding, i.e. preventing the river from bursting its banks. On the other hand, the city wants to promote itself as an attractive tourist destination. For that reason, bridges and roads have been constructed and upgraded, the river has been broadened and the riverbanks have been strengthened. The Polish contracting firm Energopol has been commissioned to undertake the next phase in the operations, and Baars will offer its support! We entered into a long-term lease contract for three pontoons, which the contractor will be using for additional dredging and work on the Oder riverbanks.
