In Azerbaijan the Boyuk Shor Lake, close to the Olympic Stadium in Baku, must be delivered in a clean condition for the 2015 European Games.With Martens & Van Oord, 2.6 million cubic metres of slurry were removed from the clay lake bottom. Baars provided the equipment
for this project. A special feature was the newly-designed slurry blade system that, along with the hydraulic excavator and dredge pump, effected a fast removal of bottom slurry.
