Byggab was looking for a strong and reliable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baarsbv.com\/en\/jack-up-barge-2\/\">jack-up platform<\/a> for a range of on-water operations, including maintenance work on remote island lighthouses and projects in tidal areas. Exactly the kind of challenge Baars thrives on.<\/p>\n<p>Following a visit to our shipyard, the project quickly took shape. While much communication today happens digitally, meeting in person still adds real value. Walking the yard together, reviewing materials, and demonstrating what is technically possible often makes all the difference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fully managed delivery and installation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For this project, Baars delivered a complete jack-up platform measuring 18 x 12 metres, equipped with 30-metre spud legs. The platform consists of multiple modular pontoons and was fully configured to meet Byggab\u2019s operational requirements.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we supplied marine equipment, a toolbox, and a boat landing. The entire scope was delivered, assembled, and commissioned on schedule, in close cooperation with the client.<\/p>\n<p>While this may sound straightforward, working in a location such as the \u00c5land Islands requires additional preparation. Logistics, transport by water, and careful planning around weather conditions all play a key role. It doesn\u2019t have to be complicated \u2014 as long as everything is properly aligned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working in a unique environment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project was carried out in the \u00c5land Islands in Finland \u2014 a remote and distinctive area in the Baltic Sea.
