Baars Confloat B.V. has a large number of units available for leasing or sales, whether new or used for a short period of time. Modular, flexible and robust are just a few of the characteristics of the Baars Confloat Container system. Baars Confloat Container Pontoons are also suitable for assembly to form a work platform at locations that are not (readily) accessible for conventional pontoons. The Confloat Container Pontoons are provided with corner castings and conform to the dimensions of sea containers (ISO norms), i.e. length van 20 or 40 foot (6.09 m or 12.19 m) and a width of 8 (2.44 m.). This means the units can be quickly and economically transported by road, water and rail to any required location. Thanks to the unique coupling system, virtually any work platform can be assembled or modified as desired, in the shortest of time. The application of, for instance, one or more hydraulic spud, lifting and pressure systems in our pontoons makes the resulting assembly ideally suited for piling, drilling and dredging work, etc. The unique coupling system is a "nut & bolt" connection that comprises several separate components. These components are located in Confloat Container Pontoons lying opposite each other and after installation they are pre-tensioned to 280 kN. For each side to be coupled there are a total of twelve (12) coupling positions available, namely three (3) next to each other in each corner. Due to the amount of couplings and the pre-tension applied, a seamless, rigid and shock-proof work platform is created. Baars Confloat Container Pontoons are available in standard depths of 4’, 6’ and 8’ and lengths of 20’ or 40’. Suitable hydraulic spud, lifting and pressure systems are available for each of the standard depth variants. The spud pole diameter is, depending on the depth 508 or 763 mm. Baars Confloat Container Pontoons can be assembled in virtually any desired configuration thus making it possible to comply with many project requirements.
